My three year old son and I checked out WoD this morning. After recording him saying the word of the day, I glanced at the the activities, but didn’t have the time at that moment to do any – and as a result I initially missed the score.

When I returned later, I saw the score was 47%, but I wasn’t sure what I should do with it (especially since we couldn’t try again) – other than know there’s room for improvement. He does have trouble pronouncing “k”, so I’m not surprised by the score. It might be nice to add a tip for improvement with lower scores.

I’m looking forward to seeing how we do each day with this!

I’ve done this for three days with my daughter:

I’d like to be notified when the result is available
I’d like to see yesterday’s score somehow
I’d like some feedback that the audio is working

I really like the activities. They are good.

Are you having any issues receiving scores?

I like the word of the day feature. My daughter is learning to talk and it is great for a new word that doesn’t always come up in conversation.
But the rest does not really apply yet as she is only 1 and learning words but most of the ones that she can say of course don’t come up because of the large variety.

I absolutely love Word of the Day! It’s just what I needed as a icebreaker with my families that are experimenting with the Starling as part of the First Steps Program in South Carolina!

@Regina777 I’m glad to hear that you like it. I personally love doing the Word of the Day with my daughter too!

@Paysonsmom Would you like more suggestions for how to use the word or how to put it in context?

#9

Sure! That would be great

@jon no I don’t think that is needed. Most are pretty simple. You know what would be amazing for Payson’s age or learning to talk age th ability to like click left at past words… she works on it and the photo and then never sees it again. Being able to click through past ones would be amazing.
